Sales Funnels! Why you need one to grow your business

HOLD UP... WHAT IS A SALES FUNNEL?
A sales funnel takes people through 4 distinct cognitive stages in their journey towards making a purchase. These are; ATTRACT, INTEREST, DESIRE, ACT.

There is so much to unpack with sales funnels, from lead magnets, to lead pages, to email automations, to content. In this blog we are going to focus on the important initial stage of the funnel - how to get people into it!
First up, you need to make people aware that you exist and aware of what you offer. A great way to do this is through lead magnets.

LEAD MAGNETS
Lead magnets can be anything that provides value, in exchange for their email address. For example...
A free e-book
A downloadable guide
A webinar
A free taster class
Why lead magnets are effective
TRUST. Lead magnets help to build trust. This is important as people are less likely to buy from people they don't 'know, like, and trust'.
CONVERSION. It is the first step in moving people down the funnel, turning them from 'cold', to 'warm', to ready to buy!
VALUE. It's a mutual exchange of value. People won't just hand out their email address willy nilly. With lead magnets, they receive value in the form of a webinar or free guide towards solving a problem, and in return you receive their email address so that you can continue to build on that relationship.
Don't miss this important step

It might seem obvious, but it's surprising how many people create awesome lead magnets and just let them sit on their website, hoping people will download them.
At this point, your customers might not have entered your sales funnel. They're not aware, their interest hasn't been piqued, they have no desire to search out for more information, and therefore won't be making any purchase decisions any time soon.
It is your job to lead people to where you want them to go!
How can you make people aware of your lead magnet?
Here are a few ideas to get you started:
Social media posts.
Include it in your 'link in bio' on Instagram and mention it in your bio.
Pin a post about it to the top of your social media page so it's one of the first things people see.
Write a blog relating to your lead magnet topic, and provide a link to grab your freebie at the end.
Find a Facebook Group where your ideal client are and post about it in there.
